Accounts Receivable Officer I – St. Lucia Branch Office

Division: Accounts Receivables Unit/Insurance Operations
Position Title: Accounts Receivable Officer I – St. Lucia Branch Office

Objective
The incumbent is expected to support the collection efforts of The Beacon Insurance Company Limited through the effective and efficient management of the Accounts Receivable portfolio.

Key Accountabilities

  • Administration of approved A/R Direct Credit Guidelines
  • Premium collection
  • Payment of commission
  • Processing of refunds
  • Maintain proper Accounts Receivables records
  • Prepare monthly reports
  • Distribution of client statement
  • Provide support to Brokers/Agents/Salesmen
  • Filing of all finance related document

Qualifications

  • Certificate in CAT or ACCA-Level 1 qualification (or pursuing same)
  • 5 CXC ‘O’ Level subjects including Mathematics and English
  • Two (2) years Accounting/Finance experience. A minimum of one (1) year insurance industry would be an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge – Proficiency in the following areas:

  • Finance and Accounting Processes/Systems
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working Knowledge of an INSUR 90 would be an asset.

Skills: the incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:

  • Highly organized
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and listening skills
